I'm a Bay Area-based writer, editor and content producer. Over the past 25 years, I’ve served as the Editor in Chief of three leading music magazines: Mix, EQ and Electronic Musician.
My first love is music! I'm a lifelong musician and I’m deeply committed to arts advocacy and learning. I'm the Education Chair of the San Francisco chapter of the Recording Academy, where I focus my efforts on developing event programming that cultivates the careers of Bay Area music makers.
When I'm not listening to music, I am probably out taking photos or hiking in the Sierras!
Editor In Chief, Electronic Musician
Oversaw content development and production for Electronic Musician magazine, the leading resource for recording musicians. Directed all print, web, event and social-media content, from producing features with top-charting artists to securing media partnerships with organizations and events.
Associate Director, Women’s Audio Mission
Guided the growth of the educational programs for women and girls at WAM, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing women in the music recording industry. Focused on industry outreach, philanthropic partnerships and marketing, through public relations campaigns, fundraising strategies and events.
Governor, Education Chair
The Recording Academy
Celebrating music through the GRAMMY Awards, the Recording Academy honors achievements in the recording arts and supports the music community. Governors chart the course of chapters through membership outreach, service and events. I've been elected to four consecutive terms in the San Francisco chapter and held the office of Secretary for two terms.
In my 14-year tenure, I advanced from Editorial Assistant to Editor In Chief. Provided strategic leadership for the world’s foremost pro audio publication, distributed in 94 countries. Set editorial direction of magazine, website and related events and projects; produced and hosted live and multimedia events including panels, seminars, podcasts and video interviews.
